NABA Charlotte Mentorship Program

The National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA) Charlotte Chapter – Student Member Services (SMS) Committee is excited to reintroduce the NABA Mentoring Program. The Mentoring Program is a formal mentorship program exclusively for paid NABA student members looking for a mentor to provide advice, guidance, and recommendations on a career path within the accounting and finance profession.  Connections with mentors take place once a month in order to help students with school, life, and work or professional experiences.  The mentors provide discussions of relevant issues, explore solutions to problems, and promote an awareness of the accounting and finance professions. All of the mentoring sessions will take place within the time frames of the mentor’s and student’s schedules.

The goals of the program are as follows:

       · Develop relationships between professional NABA members and NABA students

       · Prepare student members for a career within the fields of accounting or finance

       · Identify mentors within the accounting and finance profession

The NABA Charlotte Mentoring Program runs from October to May of each year. For inquiries regarding participation in future program cycles, please contact sms@charlotteallianceofblackaccountants.org.
